Today was very busy getting all the last minute things done.
As I sit in the airport in San Francisco, reflecting on all the work that has been done to prepare for this trip and project launch, I am grateful for many things including my AMAZING wife, Paulette who has done far more than any other person to make this endeavor a success. I also want to say a huge thanks for the warm send-off and support of the Rancho Santa Fe Rotary Club today. Thanks to all who are praying for our safety and comfort. Thanks to all those who made clothes, donated items and money to the cause. Thanks for those who bought strawberry jam, avocados, coffee, theater tickets, etc. Thanks to the women who attended the first Annie’s Closet women’s dinner. And thanks to the new contacts we have made locally and internationally who are participating in various ways to support Annie’s Closet.
By the way, besides launching Annie’s Closet and distributing clothes to 300+ orphans in Kogoya Village, we will be connecting with a few other organizations who are already doing great work in Malawi and around the world. I will save those details for later. Gotta try and keep these entries pretty short, or else you might stop reading.
